Growth Of A Player

Growth Of A Player

"we work hard, really really hard." - Krishna Bhupathi

The Tennis Village is open to anyone with the desire and determination to play a good game of tennis. Our admission criteria is limited to just that. While our prime objective is to be available to one and all and to popularize the game at its grass root level, we do have a specific intensive program for those who wish to climb the ladder. Nationally and internationally. Our intensive program places major emphasis on the physical fitness and the mental toughness that go with it. We urge potential trainees with the desire to achieve a high level of success to train themselves prior to their arrival at our Academy in physical fitness and stamina, to best utilize the facilities we offer.

In our estimation, a child who learns tennis needs to go through the entire grind, stage by stage, year by year, to develop into a full-blown tennis player of merit. We have laid down some of the guidelines here for the player’s requirements in terms of physical exercise, tennis playing and tournament exposure. This is just a guideline, and once again, the individual’s talent and endurance will chalk out his actual career graph.

Playing at an international level, we cannot stress enough, requires outstanding physical fitness. If you are planning to play internationally, and your game shows the potential to get there, please ensure that your physical fitness level matches that of any international athlete of your age group. If your tennis level looks good for an international level, but the physical fitness level appears to be lagging behind, we strongly recommend that you choose some other sport.

To shape young talent into mature champions.
